Friends, a good friend from FB suggested I put in a Go Fund Me and I have followed his advise.
The family and I are not only in need of your belief, we are asking for your compassion, empathy and generosity.
Many of you know about my worsening heart condition, and hospital rollercoaster I have endured in the last year. It has been a struggle and I lost my job due to it back in November of 2016; however, it has not been my demise.
For over 6 months I have been fighting a weakening and troubling heart condition that has culminated in me having a quadruple heart bi pass operation as well as an Aortic Heart mechanical valve replacement 3 weeks ago. It's going to take some time for me to recover from the surgery, specially my sternum plate which is in two pieces right no.
My unemployment has run out, I can't cast any new items from my resin business due to me not being able to lift more than 5 lbs and being on my feet a lot due to weakness and dizziness from the medications.
The only income currently coming in is my wife's $800.00 a month from her work as a massage therapist. She works for a local university and only gets paid if she massages a customer. Her customers are the faculty and students of the University. When they are on vacation in June, July, August her income and customers are very few. She is currently and urgently looking for addional employment to make up the difference but nothing as of yet and time is running out.
We have exhausted our savings as well as asking family and friends for help and are currently insolvent. I have applied for welfare and was denied due to my wife's small income. I also applied for SSI but it will take upto 3 months for them to decide on the application.
We are asking you for financial help to raise $3,000 to sustain our rent and electricity need for June, July, Agust and possibly pay some medical bills.
As difficult as it is to ask this of you, it is remarkably freeing to be this honest, humbled, and ask for help when we need it. Our family is most certainly in need.
