My name is Kimeisha. I was born and raised in Gordon District, Whitehouse, Westmoreland, Jamaica.

Please help my family recover after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa. I’ve been in touch with my loved ones back home, and the damage is unimaginable. I would have never believed that one day could take everything away. Their homes, their livelihoods and their sense of normalcy. The entire west side is now starting from scratch, and even basic civility has been shaken.

Initially, this GoFundMe was created to provide food, clean water, and essential supplies. Thankfully, our family in America has managed to cover those immediate needs. Now, these funds will go toward rebuilding homes, so that my loved ones no longer have to sleep on porches or in the open.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us rebuild what was lost and give my family a safe place to rest again.
