<div>Help My Family Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div>My name is Nneka McKay, I’m 24 years old, and I’ve been living in the United States with my aunt, Collette Currie, for a little over a year. We are originally from Jamaica, a place we will always call home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are reaching out with a heavy heart after Hurricane Melissa, a powerful Category 5 storm that devastated large parts of Jamaica. Our family and friends back home have been deeply affected — we’ve lost almost everything. Homes were destroyed, crops washed away, and small businesses completely flattened. Furniture and appliances are soaked and ruined, and entire communities are struggling to rebuild from scratch.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s painful to be so far away knowing how much they’re hurting. These are hardworking people — farmers, shop owners, parents, and children — who now have to start over with nothing but faith and determination.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The money raised will go directly toward repairing our family home — starting with fixing the roof, replacing damaged windows and awnings, and getting new furniture and appliances since everything inside was destroyed by water.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once the house is repaired and my family regains a sense of safety and stability, we also hope to restore our small family businesses — my mom’s bar and my aunt’s shop — both of which were badly damaged by the hurricane. There’s so much to rebuild, but the most urgent priority right now is getting a solid roof back over their heads and replacing the essentials that were lost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference — whether it helps to buy a window, repair a section of the roof, or restock a small business later on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others. Your prayers, love, and support mean more than words can express as Jamaica begins the long road to recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read, share, and stand with us. Together, we can help my loved ones — and so many others — rebuild and find hope again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Nneka McKay, Collette Currie &amp; Family
