My family in Colonia Juárez, Chihuahua, is facing a difficult time after a devastating flood destroyed their home. My aunt Lalis and her husband Nino lived right next to the river, and the rising waters took everything from them. Along with my cousin, their daughter, and my grandma, they have lost all their belongings—clothing, hygiene essentials, beds, couches, and even the table where we shared so many meals together.

My grandma is an elderly woman who raised her seven children in that house. It was a place filled with sweet memories, from summers spent together to bringing my own kids to visit. Now, all of that has been swept away. While some in the community have started helping, this fundraiser is focused on supporting my close family members as they try to rebuild their lives. They are currently staying somewhere safe, but they need help replacing the basics and starting over.
