<div>As the relentless attacks on Gaza continue, I come to you with a heavy heart to ask for help in evacuating<strong> my cousins</strong> Mahmoud, Mohamed, Yousef Katba and their mother Thouraya. They are now forcibly displaced in Rafah after having lost everything in Gaza City. The Israeli tanks are closing in on Rafah, threatening a ground invasion. The intense bombing and mass starvation of my people persist. <strong>I am left with no choice but to try to help them flee to safety and start the life they deserve.</strong>

<div>My cousin Mahmoud is a young, passionate person with a drive to live and create. After losing his father (my uncle), he supports and provides for his two younger brothers and mother. However,<strong> since the attacks on Gaza began, Mahmoud has lost his business and his house.</strong>

<div>Their building sustained damage during the 2021 attacks on Gaza and was likely to become inhabitable within a few years. Most recently, the building was intentionally set on fire by the Israeli occupation forces and their apartment was completely burnt. <strong>My family will face poverty, starvation, and homelessness even if the attacks were to stop today. </strong>Having lost my house in Gaza too, I will not be able to offer them a shelter.

<div>As the grandchildren of displaced refugees from Yafaa, our true wish is to live free and safe on our own homeland. Unfortunately, our world keeps crumbling and shattering. As we face our own genocide, our instinct is survival. <strong>We're a very small Palestinian family who's already survived the Nakba in 1948 and countless other massacres in Gaza</strong>. I Wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything happens to my closest family members and the people who make me feel rooted.

<div>My initial goal for creating this fundraiser is to gather the exorbitant amounts of money demanded by the Egyptian authorities. The fees for crossing Rafah Border starts at $5,000 per person. But <strong>beyond the evacuation plan this fundraiser will help my family get back on its feet and rebuilt a sustainable life.</strong> So the remaining funds will be allocated to support them once they reach safety in Egypt.

<div>As they will arrive to Egypt with absolutely nothing,<strong> the fundraiser will help covering expenses such as transportation, housing, food, clothing, medical fees and administrative processes such as passport renewal</strong>. furthermore, my youngest cousin Yousef, a brilliant 16 year old, will need to be enrolled back in school to continue his <strong>education</strong>. This fundraiser will hopefully help him pursue the education and career he dreams of.

<div>Alors que les attaques incessantes sur Gaza se poursuivent, je viens à vous le cœur lourd pour demander de l'aide afin d'évacuer mes cousins Mahmoud, Mohamed, Yousef Katba et leur mère Thouraya. <div>Leur immeuble a déjà subi des dommages lors des attaques sur Gaza en 2021 et il était susceptible de devenir inhabitable dans quelques années. Plus récemment, l'immeuble a été intentionnellement incendié par les forces d'occupation israéliennes et leur appartement a été complètement détruit par le feu. <strong>Ma famille fera face à la pauvreté, à la famine et à l'itinérance même si les attaques devaient cesser aujourd'hui. </strong>Ayant moi-même perdu ma maison à Gaza, je ne pourrai pas leur offrir un abri.

<div>En tant que petits-enfants de réfugiés déplacés de Yafaa, notre vrai souhait est de vivre libres et en sécurité sur notre propre terre. Malheureusement, notre monde continue de s'effondrer et de se briser. Alors que nous faisons face à notre propre génocide, notre instinct est la survie. <strong>Nous sommes une très petite famille palestinienne qui a déjà survécu à la Nakba en 1948 et à d'innombrables autres massacres à Gaza</strong>. Je ne pourrais pas vivre avec moi-même si quelque chose arrivait à mes membres de famille les plus proches et aux personnes qui me font sentir enraciné.

Les frais pour traverser le Poste-frontière de Rafah commencent à 5 000 dollars par personne. Mais au-delà du <strong>plan d'évacuation</strong>, cette collecte de fonds aidera ma famille à se remettre et à reconstruire une vie durable. Ainsi, les fonds restants seront alloués pour les soutenir une fois qu'ils seront en sécurité en Égypte. <strong>Comme ils arriveront en Égypte sans rien, la collecte de fonds aidera à couvrir les dépenses telles que le transport, le logement, la nourriture, les vêtements, les frais médicaux et les processus administratifs tels que le renouvellement des passeports</strong>. De plus, mon plus jeune cousin Yousef, un brillant adolescent de 16 ans, devra être réinscrit à l'école pour poursuivre son <strong>éducation</strong>.
