help my emotional support dog Willie

Today my boy was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. He is only 6 years old and my emotional support dog, but he is also my son. I raised him from a puppy, We spend all our time that I'm not working together. When I come in from work at night, he is at the door with ball in mouth always wanting to play. He feels my stress and I feel his.  We are totally inseparable.  I love him more then life .He is definitely the best four legged friend I could ask for. As the Vet explained my options, the only thing I could think about was "What will I do if I lose him". My options are; 1; keep him on antibiotics and pray that they will prolong his life. 2; take him to an oncologist and do chemo which will give him a fighting chance. Or 3; raise the money to put him down. Option 3 is not what I am willing to do if there is a chance of treating and saving his blessed heart. Time is of the essence at this point. My Vet said the sooner I get the money up the better his chances are. I don't understand why a payment plan cannot be set up, but that was a no go situation.
I work at a minimum wage job in Connecticut and my hours very from 27 to 40 weekly. With my car payment, rent, insurance, etc. it is very hard to pay the bills much less come up with $3000.00 for the proper treatment. So I am reaching out to any and all pet lovers and/or caring people to help me in my stressful and emotional time of need. I do have proof of diagnosis if needed and I pray I can count on this site to help me with the funding it will take to give him more time with me as well as I with him. His name is William and he is a very special boy. 
I am not known to ask for help from anyone, but at this point and time, I am at a loss of what to do. I will be Soooo grateful to all and I will never forget the love shared for  my boy.
