<div>My daughter is an incredible young woman who deserves to experience life freely, but right now, her mobility limits her. The wheelchair she currently uses requires someone to push her everywhere. While people are always willing to help, she’s very aware of the strain it puts on others, and it makes her feel like a burden—something no one should ever have to feel.

<div>What she truly wants is a powered wheelchair—one she can control herself. The one she has her heart set on is pink, full of personality, and most importantly, it would give her the freedom to move independently, go out when she wants, and simply feel like herself again.

<div>As a mum, it breaks my heart watching her long to get out and enjoy life the way she used to. But I’ve also seen just how much it means to her when she gets that chance.

<div>We recently made a dream come true by taking her to see her favourite band, My Chemical Romance. It took a lot of planning and effort, but we got there. And seeing her that day—wearing her makeup, singing along, smiling from ear to ear—was unforgettable. She wasn’t limited in that moment. She was just herself—happy, free, and full of life.

<div>Unfortunately, my daughter lives on disability benefits, and saving for a wheelchair like this would take years. I’m unable to fund it myself, as I had to give up work due to undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Like many families, we’re doing our best—but this is something we simply can’t manage alone.
