She has undergone eight surgeries on her ears due to MRSA, and despite all the efforts, we recently learned that she is significantly deaf in both ears. The hearing loss in one ear is most likely permanent because of nerve damage. Unfortunately, her insurance will not cover the hearing aid she desperately needs—a cochlear Baha bone stimulator. It cost 5970.00 without insurance.

We want her to have the same opportunities as her classmates, to learn and grow without being held back by something beyond her control. The thought of her falling behind simply because we cannot afford the right hearing aid is heartbreaking.
