Help my Dads BIG Heart get healthy

On July 6 2017 the ambulance came and took my dad from our home complaining of really severe chest pain.
Once at the hospital, they bypassed the ER and took him straight up to the Cardiac Cath Lab. They explained how severe the blockage in his heart really is. He had a heart attack. He already had 6 stents in his heart, and this was the exact opposite of what his heart needed.
My dad is now faced with 2 desisions
1. He can have a stent put in his heart which will temperarialy keep the artery open, but not a long term solution. (Not reccommended by the doctors)
OR
2. Bypass surgery, which will ultimately solve the problem with the blockages in his heart.
The downside to this surgery is, the recovery time.
It is full on Open Heart Surgery. A minimum of 5-7 days in the hospital, a minimum of 4-6 weeks before he could drive again, and if all goes **perfectly** a 3 month recovery time. That is the BEST case scenario.
With his advanced Coranary Artery Disease, a best case scenario is unlikely.
He can no longer put off caring for himself, this heart surgery CANNOT WAIT. Time is of the essence.
My dad works as a LYFT driver becasue my Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers back in (2013) My dad (whom is still happily married to my mom) refused to send my mother to live in a retirement facility, and wants my mom to spend the last of her years in a beautiful space that is her own home, with her own garden, with her own pets.
Working LYFT, gives him flexiblle hours, and provides him enough income to pay rent, and make enough money to make ends meet.

With this surgery, the recovery time is At least 3 months , and rent at my parents house for a month is 1600
there utilities is around $120
food for the two of them for a month is generously around $200
the LYFT car rental is $175 a week
I want my dad to make a selfish decision for once in his life and choose to get bypass surgery becasue he is such a great man, and the world needs more people like him around, He is the eternal optimist. I have never met someone so kind, loving, loyal, funny, unselfish, and warm.
I could go on for days with adjectives about how great our dad is. He is a great man.
I want him to not worry about the rent, bills, and how to put food on the table. He needs to be focused on getting better, and stronger, and healing. NOT how soon he needs to go back to working 50 hours a week.
