Help my dad with treatment for brain cancer

My dad until recently was very healthy and fit. On 10th of September 2018 he had a severe cerebellar stroke, and at the time imaging detected a 22 by 27 mm brain tumor. In November he had two brain surgeries, including ventriculostomy to relieve fluid and deep brain craniotomy (his tumor is located near the pineal gland and spinal cord in the middle of the brain). The surgery removed a large part of the tumor, but unfortunately the biopsy results came back as giant cell glioblastoma, a most rare and aggressive brain cancer. Prognosis is usually not good, and due to existing brain damage and scar tissue, as well as nature and location of the tumor he does not qualify for radiation or chemotherapy. As there are not very many cases of this very rare disease (only 3% of glioblastomas are giant cell) there are no conventional treatments available that are refunded by his health insurance. 

My dad was in ICU and hospital for 3 months. He is now under an experimental treatment that has the potential to significantly increase his life span as well as his quality of life. He is in hospice care at home with my mother mostly caring for him, and nurses and doctors visiting as needed. Under this treatment he started to eat again and is feeling better. His mental skills have improved somewhat and he even made a couple of small steps recently.

Unfortunately the cost of this continuing treatment approaches $2,000 per month, and even though my family and I have been paying until now, it is beyond our financial means to continue to do so. We are applying for extra jobs and have used savings to cover the costs, but we need urgent help to be able to continue this treatment.

We are asking anybody willing to help to support his treatment so he can remain with us as long as possible and be comfortable.
