Help my dad with his hospital stay

Donation protected
On Sept. 9th my brother and I’s emergency techniques were tested. My dad was cutting some tress in the back of his property when he lost control of the saw and it cut him pretty bad on 2 spots, one on his leg another on his foot breaking his metatarsal (pinky toe bone). He was taking by rescue to LCMC and was seen there to stitch up his 2 lacerations and was sent home a few hours later. Almost a week goes by and as I checked on his wounds I could tell it was not healing but starting to get infected. He had exudate coming out of the wound on his foot and it was starting to become red and more swollen than normal and warmer to the touch than the rest of his leg. I informed him and my mom that it was possibly getting infected and very swollen to where his skin was close to ripping apart. On Sunday afternoon, 7 days after the accident, my mom took him to the ER again at LCMC because it was more red than before. There they told him it was infected and his bone could possibly be infected as well, which they gave him IV antibiotics then transported him to NFRMC to get evaluated. He was seen by a Infection Specialist and she told him that the wounds needed to be drained and see what was going on underneath it all. There they were pumping his body with more IV antibiotics. On Tuesday Sept. 11th, late afternoon, he underwent the surgery to drain his foot and it was discovered that it was in fact infected and that the doctor at LCMC had stitched up his wounds still dirty and that’s how it became infected. They proceeded to say that he should’ve been on IV antibiotics since the beginning. As of Thursday Sept. 20th, the infection had already spread to his bone that was fractured. His stay at the hospital went from one week to 6 weeks to stay and be taken care of. On top of that they discovered that my dad has blockage on the left side of his heart. I now see his foot injury as a blessing because my dad could’ve had a heart attack or stroke at any given time while out on the road. My dad is a truck driver and the only income source for his family and he doesn’t have medical insurance. I am doing this GoFundMe in hopes of helping my mom with gas going back and forth from Lake City to Gainesville everyday, and help with food and bills. This amount is just a fraction of what I’m expecting their hospital bill to be. If you know my dad you know that he is always helping others without hesitation and with a happy heart! Please if you can help my mom and him out, my brothers and I would greatly appreciate it.
