<div>On Saturday, September 27th, heavy rain poured down on Desert Hot Springs. With no proper drainage in place, the sudden flooding rushed into my dad’s home and caused devastating damage throughout the entire house. What should have been a normal rainy day turned into a disaster that left his home unlivable.

<div>To make matters even harder, his homeowner’s insurance has denied coverage for the flood damage, leaving him with no financial help to begin repairs or rebuild what was lost. My dad has always been someone who works hard and gives to others, and now he’s facing the overwhelming challenge of trying to piece his home back together on his own.
