Hard to even write these words, but we just received the devastating news that my dad has Esophageal Cancer. He has a rough journey ahead, which includes chemo and daily radiation for at least 5 weeks. Doctors are hoping this treatment will shrink the tumor and then allow him to get the surgery he needs to remove it. Surgery will require a 6 month recovery as well. My dad is a welder and works a very labor intense job, so unfortunately he will not be able to work for several months during treatment and surgery. He also does not receive any short term or long term disability benefits through his company, making it even more difficult for my family. If you know my dad, you know he would be the first person to give you the shirt off his back or to be there at the drop of a dime to help anyone in need. He always puts his family first, and works harder than anyone I know, and he is the last person to ask for help from anyone. We are hoping that by taking this step on his behalf, we can relieve a portion of the worry and stress he is experiencing. Please consider helping my family during this challenging time... we need everyone who is reading this to say a prayer for my dad. We truly believe in the power of prayer, and this is more important to us than money. However, if you are able to make a donation you will help my parents, and my sister and I more than you could imagine. The money will help pay for loss of wages, medical premium payments, monthly expenses, their mortgage, and will ultimately help my parents get by over the next few months. The last thing I want my parents to worry about is money, I want my dad to focus on fighting this fight, and being with us for many years to come. He has a lot to live for, and many grandbabies who love him more than anything else in this world. He has a strong family behind him, and we BELIEVE he will beat this and come out stronger mentally, spiritually and emotionally! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND DONATIONS- WE LOVE YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! GOD BLESS!
