Hello my name is Sierra, I’ve made this Gofundme on the behalf of my dad Ricky Allen. My dad has always been a hardworking & kind person. I’ve watched him repeatedly beat the odds as a black man from Chicago. In 2014 he moved to Houston texas for a new start and eventually found his footing.

Unfortunately in 2022 my dad started to experience health complications directly related to having sickle cell disease & additionally my dad caught Covid which ultimately lead to the decline of his health and caused him to not be able work. As a result, my dad could not afford to keep his apartment and has been unhoused and living out of his vehicle for over a year. Wednesday night my dad left his vehicle unattended in a Walmart parking lot while at church and came back to find that the vehicle had been taken by the title loan company due to a late payment. I am coming here to see if we can raise enough money to get my dad’s vehicle back. He has all of his valuable possessions in the vehicle along with important documents such as his birth certificate.
