 I never imagined I would ever be writing something like this. My dad is 70 years old and is currently in the hospital after suffering ongoing heart attacks this week. Doctors have told us he urgently needs open heart surgery. Our family is doing everything we can to stay hopeful but watching someone you love fight for their life is a pain that’s impossible to put into words. My dad has spent his life working hard, providing for others, and asking for nothing in return. Now after a lifetime of putting everyone else first, he needs help. He is retired and lives on a fixed income that already doesn’t covers his basic essentials and monthly bills. The overwhelming cost of hospital stays, surgery, medications, and recovery is more than he could ever prepare for. The last thing he should have to worry about while facing the biggest fight of his life is how he’s going to pay the bills. As his daughter, it’s heartbreaking to feel so helpless right now. I would give anything to take this burden away from him. Since I can’t, I’m asking for help from anyone who is able. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical expenses, ongoing treatment, recovery, and helping him keep up with basic living expenses while he heals.
