I am raising funds for my father to help cover medical and moving expenses from a recent brain surgery. He is on a fixed income and Medicare doesn't pay for anything. He also needs to move to be closer to me for care.

In February 2025, he went to the ER for a headache only to find that he had a brain bleed. He was admitted to the hospital, and as we were waiting for surgery, he fell in his room hitting the back of his head. This caused another brain bleed and he required emergency bedside drain. While we are thankful the doctor was able to do this, we almost lost him due to complications. He was released from the hospital a week later. He had trouble walking, memory issues, agitation, and more.

Fast forward just 3 weeks later, and he was admitted again due to complications from the second bleed. He had a full craniotomy to clean everything out. He was released from the hospital a week later.

Today, he is still struggling with sleep, agitation, and some memory stuff. The medical bills have started coming in and are way more than we were expecting. I didn't realize how little Medicare pays.

We are in the process of relocating him to Michigan so that he can be closer to family for care.
