Help my client set up home

My name is David Moat. I'm a clinical psychotherapist, and in trying to assist a client with autism into housing, I've come to realise that many in society are disenfranchised and disengaged from the typical networks of support. There may be many reasons for this - some in particular experience Post-Traumatic Stress following unsatisfactory engagement with local services that can fail to understand various nuanced needs and sensitivities.

 

So, in the first instance, I'm trying to raise money to help one particular client with autism obtain a deposit and the first few month's rent on a property entirely suited to his needs. This newly gained stability in his life will then enable him to slowly re-engage with organisations and agencies that can provide ongoing support and funding.

 

Funds remaining once my client is housed will be used to start a charity committed to advancing the cause of other people in similar situations.
