<div>My brother and his family have been going through an incredibly hard year. He was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor that can shrink but will never fully go away, leaving lasting damage. Shortly after, his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and is still undergoing long-term treatment. The emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming.

<div>Despite everything, my brother found comfort and healing through caring for his dogs — especially the puppies he helped whelp earlier this year. They brought him peace, routine, and joy during some of the darkest moments of his life.

<div>The Tragedy — November 13
</div>
<div>In the early morning hours, a fast-moving fire broke out in their garage. He ran out to save the dogs, managing to pull two puppies from their cages, but the smoke and flames spread too quickly. Tragically, a total of five dogs—beloved pets and puppies he raised—could not be saved in time.  This loss has devastated him. These dogs were a source of emotional support through illness, fear, and stress — and now he is grieving deeply.

<div>Why We’re Asking for Help
</div>
<div>A close family friend helped recover the dogs so they could be respectfully cremated because my brother could not bear to see them in that condition after everything he has already endured. Each cremation carries a cost. Combined with ongoing medical expenses, this unexpected tragedy is more than the family can manage alone. Any support or kindness during this time would mean so much to my brother and our family as we try to help him heal and move forward.
