<div>Fifteen years ago, my brother’s life changed forever when he was involved in a horrific incident on a jet ski (at no fault of his own) that resulted in the amputation of his leg below the knee. Since then, he’s faced countless challenges, physically, emotionally, and financially. Yet he has somehow pulled through and absolutely smashed each challenge that has come his way.

<div>Despite the pain and many complications over the years, he built a life for himself. He runs his own small business and has managed to keep it going regardless of the many set backs. In no way over the years has it been easy for Blake. His leg never properly healed, and he has silently battled repeated infections and endured multiple surgeries. He has not yet been able to access NDIS funds as that is a whole challenge in itself.

<div>Recently, in June 2025, he underwent another amputation to remove more of his leg due to ongoing infection. Now, he's facing the very real possibility of another surgery that could take even more. These procedures aren't just painful, they've also taken a toll on his livelihood. Being self-employed, every single day away from work means he has lost income and with another possible surgery in the future, the financial pressure is growing quickly.

<div>I have created this fundraiser for Blake because he does so much for everyone else. He deserves to have some of the financial pressure taken away so he can focus on the next challenge and put his energy into healing and, eventually, his rehabilitation where he will, once again, learn to walk.
