Dear All,

My name is Chin Yin Teng. I am reaching out for offering financial support for my poor puppy BoBo. I need your help during this trying time for my puppy BoBo and me.

Something heartbroken happened to my 5-month-old Scottish terrier puppy and me last Saturday in Rochester's Ellison dog park. I was holding my puppy in my arm, and an unleashed Pitbull jumped on me, dragged my puppy from my arm to the ground, and tore her violently. Her organs were bitten outside of her body. I was told she only had a 50% chance of surviving the surgery. Luckily, she was strong to live through it. However, she is still in critical condition and has been in the Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Service ICU for the past few days. She lost one of her kidneys, and some of her intestines were removed. I also got bites and scratches from the Pitbull when it dragged my puppy down from my arm, and I went to the emergency room for medical treatment.

I am still an international graduate student at RIT. I took out loans and received scholarships to leave my home country Taiwan to travel far away to the US to achieve my dream of studying design. What happened last Saturday was something I couldn’t have imagined ever to happen, and truly, the unexpected treatment cost, totaling $ 13186.81, is something I couldn’t afford without asking for help from others.

I felt scared and helpless facing this big accident alone in a country far away from home, and I didn’t know what to do but to reach out and seek help. It will be extremely helpful and appreciated if you can help in any way (there is a long trauma recovery journey for both BoBo and me, and having any community resources will also be extremely helpful).

大家好，我的名字叫做鄧晴尹，這是我的求助訊息。我希望能在這裡募款，幫助我五個月大的蘇格蘭梗波波；她此時此刻正經歷著痛苦難耐的醫療；為了讓他更有活下去的機會，我真的很希望有人能夠來幫幫我們。

令人心碎的故事是發生在上週六的美國羅徹斯特的Ellison dog park。那天我帶著波波出門，並將他抱在懷裡慢慢走著，我們都正在享受溫馨的散步時光。突然，一隻粗壯兇狠沒有上牽繩的比特犬筆直的朝我們衝來，牠露出獠牙兇狠地撲到我身上，接著將波波像破布娃娃般撕扯到地上，然後開始更兇殘的撕裂、啃噬波波柔軟嬌弱的身體，比特犬瘋狂而嗜血的眼神，像是要把波波吞噬殆盡。

當下有三個男子衝過來幫我想把他們拉開，但比特犬絲毫沒有要鬆口的意思，最後是他們合力硬扳開他的嘴才放開波波，鬆口後我看到波波的內臟被啃咬散落出來，並滿地都是殷紅的鮮血，這時比特犬的飼主才過來，將他的比特犬重新拴上牽繩，而我自己也被比特犬抓傷及咬傷並前往急診室治療。

當時周圍的人責怪比特犬的飼主沒有將有攻擊性的狗拴好，並放任牠任意在狗狗公園跑動傷人，但飼主只表示他也不知道為什麼會這樣，他的狗從不曾如此；我控制著情緒並請他留下聯絡資料，但他卻推三阻四的叫我先帶我的狗去獸醫院再說，直到周圍的人開始指責他，他才不得不與我交換聯絡資料。

波波現在正在美國羅徹斯特的Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Service 獸醫院的加護病房治療，手術前獸醫告訴我波波只有一半的存活機會，我那時以為我要失去他了；但堅強的波波一直成功挺到了今天，即使身上插滿了導流管，不停地服用止痛藥。波波傷的很重，醫生摘除了他失去功能的一顆腎臟及部份的腸道，而這幾天是波波重要的觀察期。

我至今仍然無法連絡上飼主，然而龐大的醫療救治及照護費已壓得我喘不過氣。我只是一個來自台灣的研究生，在美國羅徹斯特理工學院Rochester Institute of Technology 主修設計，並透過貸款及獎學金維繫著學費與生活。孤身一人在美國的我，實在沒有能力負擔波波與自己的龐大醫療費；類似的比特犬攻擊事件在美國全然不受重視，警察不理會我，人在異鄉的我求助無門，甚至連請飼主挺身負責也無能為力。

波波至今仍在加護病房裡努力的活著，而我ㄧ回想起當日的景象時，就無法克制的恐懼顫抖著，波波是我在美國唯一的家人，小小身軀的他正承受著巨大的痛苦，而可能再次失去她的現在，讓我感到無助且絕望。

因此我發出了這段訊息，希望有餘力的人能夠提供給我們一些幫助，獸醫的費用總共高達$ 13186.81美元；除了經濟援助外，波波後續創傷的恢復及護理也是一條艱辛的路，若是大家有任何可以幫助的資源請告訴我。
