<div>I'm reaching out to ask for your support for our dear friend and colleague, Mustafa.

<div>Mustafa has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer affecting his thyroid and lymph nodes. He is currently undergoing treatment in Amman, facing a long and uncertain road ahead. As many of you know, Mustafa has been a dedicated part of the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) for many years. More recently, he’s been working as a consultant, which unfortunately means he does not have access to stable income or health insurance to cover the critical surgeries and treatments he now urgently needs.

<div>Those of you who have worked with Mustafa—or even had a single interaction with him—know the warmth, commitment, and kindness he brings to every part of his life. Though he has never asked for help, he has always been ready to support his friends and colleagues in times of crisis. He has provided security guidance to our staff in Iraq even when he was between contracts at CIVIC, and has always made everyone’s safety his top priority, even when he himself was at risk.

<div>In this incredibly difficult time, any financial support you can offer would go a long way in helping Mustafa get the care he needs and ensure that his family does not go into debt trying to pay for his treatments.
