<div>I am a first-year graduate student at UMass Amherst. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit, asking for your help to save my 26 years old brother, <strong>Mustafa</strong>.

<div>[Update 22 Dec 2025: The surgery went successful and he is in recovery now, his creatine level is between 1.4 to 1.7, BP of 140/70 and some small sweling in the face. He is discharged from hostel and now quarantine at home.]

<div>[Update 31 Oct 2025: Panel Reactive Body and WBC Cross Match test results are in favor, we registered for the operation, awaiting the gov approval]
</div>
<div>Last year, Mustafa was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease, <strong>Lupus Nephritis Class IV</strong>. <strong><em>His kidneys are failing</em></strong>. He endures dialysis twice a week just to stay alive, with each session costing our family a staggering $55. His health is declining rapidly; he has lost significant weight and strength, and the doctors have been clear: he needs a kidney transplant as soon as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mustafa has always been the pillar of our family. While I pursued my education, he put his own dreams aside to work and provide for us. He took on difficult, blue-collar jobs so that I could have a future. Now, the very brother who gave me my chance at a better life is fighting for his.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have a glimmer of hope—we have found a matching donor. But the total cost for the surgery, medical tests, and post-operative care is between <strong>$13,000 and $14,000</strong>. This is a life-altering sum for my family, and we are now facing a critical deadline. We must book the surgery by <strong>October 30th, 2025</strong>, or we risk losing this life-saving opportunity with our donor.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have done everything I can. I’ve gathered my entire savings and sold personal belongings to raise $4,000. But it’s not enough. As an international student, I am not permitted to work, and I am unable to secure a loan. I feel a profound sense of helplessness, being so far away from the brother who sacrificed so much for me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is why I am turning to you. <strong>Your donation, no matter the size, is a direct lifeline to Mustafa</strong>. It is a chance for him to have a future, to see the world not through the lens of pain, but with the joy of a second chance. It will prove to him, and to all of us, that this world is full of magnificent and caring people.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I promise to be completely transparent. I will post regular updates on his journey and account for how every dollar is spent. If we are blessed to have any funds remaining, they will be donated to help another family in need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading our story. Your support will not just fund a surgery; it will restore a life. Sharing this with your close circle is a great support.
