Help musicians in Kharkiv Ukraine

Dear Friends,

I am starting this fundraiser to help musicians and their families in Kharkiv, Ukraine, my classmates and friends with whom I frequently performed while still living in Kharkiv and after moving to the States. They are orchestra members, music teachers, accompanists etc. Many can not evacuate due to their age, others won't leave their elderly relatives behind. Like Vera on the cover photo, they are sacrificing their health and instruments, hiding in cold, damp bomb shelters. As is the case with my parent's flat, many flats in the city are left without windows, heat, water etc.

While I can still transfer funds directly into their accounts, I am most afraid of what would happen if Kharkiv ends up on the other side of the curtain after the war. I doubt that damage will be mitigated by those who are inflicting it, and there is a possibility that international aid will not reach there either. Unlike russian musical elite, many musicians in Ukraine live from paycheck to paycheck. Your donations will help them with daily expenses, housing and instrument repairs etc.

Many of my friends reported that the Kharkiv Conservatory (University of Arts in the photo) is now partially without windows, the Opera House and Philharmonics buildings are also damaged, and the Kharkiv Music College (Muzychne Uchylyshche) building had a fire.

All donations are sincerely appreciated and no amount is too small. All money will be transferred into Ukrainian musicians' accounts directly and as soon as possible. Your donations will help with daily expenses, housing and instrument repairs, and anything else they might need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help!
