Hi everyone, my name is Munirah Small—LVN, dedicated nursing student, and soon-to-be Registered Nurse this December.

This journey has been nothing short of intense, humbling, and life-shaping. Since this past summer, I haven’t been able to work consistently because of my demanding class schedule. I planned carefully and budgeted my way through the end of my program using grants, scholarships, and student loans. But like many students, I was hit hard by unexpected federal changes that cut a portion of my funding—funding I was depending on to finish strong. Right now, I juggle two nursing programs at the same time:

• My RN program, which I complete in December 2025

• My BSN program, which I’m set to finish in August 2026

Between lectures, clinicals, exams, and studying, I squeeze in hours driving Uber just to keep myself afloat. It has been one of the biggest tests of my life—balancing two programs, studying on the go, and trying to meet every financial obligation without falling behind. But I’m this close to finishing.

To take my nursing boards before graduation and be able to walk the stage in January as a newly licensed RN, I must clear my remaining school balance. And I can’t do it alone.

So here’s my hope:

If 1,000 people donated $1, or 500 people donated $2, I would reach my goal.
