Help mum Marisa beat cancer and enjoy her kids

At twenty four weeks into her pregnancy with her newborn son Alejandro, my 35 year old sister Marisa (Maria Isabel Del Pilar Alcaide Trujillo), was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and had to start chemotherapy immediately.

While preparing for the birth of her son Alejandro, Marisa discovered a lump on her neck which turned out to be big tumours on her neck and chest.

Alejandro is now 4 -months-old, and is a beautiful healthy baby boy. Marisa went back to chemotherapy eight days after giving birth. Unfortunately Marisa is back again at hospital care after receiving further radiation treatment which caused some  complications like not being able to swallow and breath properly.

This has made family life hard, with her husband Daniel having to work many extra hours to try to cover all the expenses while at the same time, Marisa has been trying to navigate a three years old toddler, a newborn, and cancer treatment without him.

Marisa remains in hospital care at this time with family helping where possible to look after her children. We hope she may be able to make it home for Christmas to spend some time with her family.

Marisa is a fighter but all of this has taken a very strong toll on her financially, emotionally, physically, psychologically. Marisa has been out of work for many months, it has been harder to make ends meet.  For these reasons, we are please asking for your support and lending hand.

Thank you for taking the time to read  Marisa's story, we are really thankful and appreciate all of your prayers, support, and donations.
