<div>On Thursday April 10th, nineteen Michigan State University students were arrested for trespassing at the Hannah Administration Building. These students are part of the Hurriya Coalition, a group of 20+ MSU community organizations advocating for Palestine and demanding University divestment from Israel and weapon manufacturers. The students were arrested during a sit-in protesting University investments.

<div>Presently, the each of these students face misdemeanor charges, 30 days in jail, and $500 each in fines. The students were engaged in an act of civil disobedience which is a crucial aspect of American democracy and an important component of many social justice movements. The intent of the action was entirely peaceful and nonviolent: they were arrested while linking arms and singing.
