<div>My name is Yim Tam, and I have had the privilege of being a long-time friend and colleague of Ms. Eugenia Melendez at Franklin. Ms. Melendez has dedicated her life to education, teaching at Franklin  since 1999. She has been an integral part of the Transportation Academy and STEM Magnet Program, inspiring countless students throughout her career.

<div>On the morning of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, tragedy struck. Ms. Melendez’s Altadena home was destroyed in the devastating Eaton Fire. In the span of hours, everything she worked so hard to build was reduced to ashes.

<div>Now, Ms. Melendez faces the unimaginable challenge of rebuilding her home and life. We are reaching out to our community for support. Your generous donation can make a tremendous difference, helping her and her family recover from this heartbreaking loss.
