Mr. Waffles has been my companion since 2021, when I adopted him during my college years. He came into my life at a time when I was struggling with depression, anxiety, and a difficult breakup. Through it all, Mr. Waffles was there for me—his presence truly saved my life. He’s always been a one-person cat, never warming up to anyone but me. I’ll never forget the first time we met: I was wearing a mask because of COVID, and he immediately ripped it off my face, as if to say he wanted to see the real me.

 Mr. Waffles is also deeply bonded with his brother, Omelette. The two of them are inseparable, and their connection is a constant source of comfort and joy in my home. Right now, Mr. Waffles is facing a life-threatening urinary blockage and urgently needs surgery to remove bladder stones. The vet has made it clear that if he doesn’t get this surgery right away, he could suffer another blockage and may not survive.
