<div>Our Mum and Stepdad are living overseas and away from us all. We are reaching out because Mum is severely ill with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We urgently need help to bring Mum &amp; our Stepdad home as soon as possible, as they are facing a “Medical Crisis” abroad....
</div>
<ul>
<li><em>Sadly Mum is declining &amp; has recently spent 11 weeks in hospital being treated with strong autoimmune suppressants &amp; high dosage steroids to fight MS Brain &amp; Central Nervous System inflammation &amp; damaging raw nerve exposure. Any scarring on the nerves blocks &amp; disrupts signals sent between the brain &amp; the body... This causes loss of functioning in the body.... and in severely affected MS patients like Mum, lifelong complications &amp; chronic disabilities.</em>

<div><strong><em>Not only is Mum declining, but our Stepdad, who is Mum’s only Carer abroad, is ill too and he desperately needs vital corrective surgery. </em></strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li>However he has had no choice but to delay his own surgery as Mum is totally dependent on him for her 24 hour care.
</li>
<li><em>Mum cannot survive alone without either our stepdad's care, specialist daily nursing care intervention, or hospitalisation care.</em>
</li>
</ul>
<div>Unfortunately Mum has suffered so much MS brain &amp; Central Nervous System damage over the years that she is now totally dependent on 24 hour care for the rest of her life.....

<ul>
<li><em>Current MRI's show more extensive, advancing and progressive nerve signal damage. The MRI full body scan also revealed that Mum's Spinal Column has thinned and narrowed to half it's correct size. </em>
</li>
<li><em>If the Spinal Column continues to narrow, it will severely restrict or cut off Mum's Spinal Cord and this would be absolutely catastrophic for Mum, and our Stepdad too.</em>
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong><em>Mum's Medical Team &amp; Nurses abroad have stressed the urgency of repatriation home for a multitude of medical reasons.....</em></strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Firstly because of Mum’s decline &amp; repeated hospitalisation &amp; secondly, because now our Stepdad is at risk of presenting as an emergency for his operation if he continues to struggle with Mum's extensive and unrelenting night and day care on his own.
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong><em>The Medical Team &amp; Nurses stressed that Mum is now too ill to battle another winter immobile </em></strong><em>&amp; confined to a hospital bed in an unheated, freezing cold, inaccessible, very old stone house.</em>
</div>
<div>There is only an open fire and no central heating. During cold winters the temperatures regularly reach 3 to 8 degrees inside the house.
</div>

<div><strong><em>Because Mum is a highly vulnerable, autoimmune compromised MS patient and she has a reduced ability to fight off infections....</em></strong>
</div>

</div>
<div><em>Freezing home temperatures are deadly &amp; life endangering to both the elderly, especially an immobile chair or bed-bound patient with chronic &amp; critical illness like Mum</em>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong><em>It is imperative to bring Mum and our Stepdad home to the UK before either of them declines even more.</em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />

<div>However, the <strong>repatriation cost are overwhelming</strong>. We need to cover:

<div><em>• Overseas Shipping, Packing, Home Removal Costs etc.; these are estimated to be very expensive</em>
</div>
<div><em>• UK Repatriation fees and expenses to get Mum &amp; our stepdad settled permanently, and the means to live and pay their monthly bills  while they wait for their Disability &amp; Carer’s Welfare Allowance to be assessed &amp; approved.</em>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Processing times for PIP, Disability &amp; Carer Welfare are lengthy, with PIP Disability payment processing being reported by UK Press, as taking up to 1 year. Any assessment delays will obstruct them qualifiying for their Wheelchair Accessible vehical and other essential disabiltiy grants and rebates.
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong><em>Stress is the most dangerous trigger for damaging, life shattering MS attacks.... </em></strong> In 2017 Mum’s Neurology prognosis was dire; Mum’s MRI showed that her life expectancy could be reduced by around 15 years if the inflammation, lesion &amp; nerve damage increased. Sadly, Mum has progressively declined as the MS brain &amp; nerve attacks have continued, resulting in permanent life destroying disabilities, complications and more daily challenges each year.....

<div>Mum is 61 now, please help us give Mum the dignity, comfort, and support she deserves for the remainder of time she has left with us.

<div><strong><em>There is no cure for Multiple Sclerosis.... </em></strong>

<li>Our Mum has always been incredibly strong and has always gone out of her way to help others, but right now she truly needs help herself and so does our dedicated, but exhausted Carer Stepdad.
</li>
</ul>
