<div>My name is Yakima, but everyone calls me GeeGee — a nickname my big brother Brandon Markee Scott gave me when I was little. He’s always been my protector, my best friend, and one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.

<div>Right now, Brandon is in the ICU fighting for his life. He’s been diagnosed with heart failure, and every day is a struggle — physically, emotionally, and financially. He doesn’t have medical insurance, which makes getting the care and treatment he needs even harder.

<div>Our family is doing everything we can to help him, but we can’t do it alone. We’re trying to move Brandon to Florida with his daughter, Malayah (who we call May), so he can be close to her and receive better care and long-term support. Being with her gives him strength, comfort, and something beautiful to hold onto through this painful fight.

<div>Brandon isn’t just a loving father — he’s also a grandfather, and his family means everything to him. We have faith and strongly believe that through prayer, love, and support, Brandon can recover and still live a full, joyful life in Florida. He’s told May how he dreams of going to the beach, feeling the warm sun, and watching parades with his family — simple moments that fill his heart with hope and give him something to keep fighting for.
