<div>My sweet friend Morgann took a trip to Nashville to celebrate July 4th which soon turned into a nightmare. While waiting for an Uber, she was suddenly hit in the leg by something hot and sharp and was rushed to the ER. She didn’t know it at the time, but had been shot with a 9mm which police believe came from “celebratory gunshots.” A scan showed the bullet lodged in her lower left leg. The bullet went straight down through her shin, muscle, and tissue but stopped before reaching her foot thankfully. The doctors said she was VERY lucky it missed arteries and bone. Morgann now needs to wait until her leg heals more to know if she will need surgery to take the bullet out or if she can live with it in her leg.

<div>Unfortunately, the police are not able to find who did this or help with her case, so all the medical care and costs fall on her. Currently due to owning her own personal training business she does not have any medical insurance to cover her ambulance ride, ER visit, scans, doctor visits, and a future procedure should she need one. She is now facing extreme amounts of stress with paying medical bills along with her normal bills due to her being out of work as well while she recovers from this.

<div>Morgann is always there for her family, friends, clients, community and gives support wherever she can. Between making connections throughout Wilmington from her personal training business to serving through her local church, she is an avid supporter to people near and far. While her church community is working on ways to help her, any little bit in the meantime could help from anyone who is able and willing to support her!
