Help Me Reunite With My Mother and Daughter After 32 Years Apart

Hi, my name is Monserrat, and I am an Ecuadorian woman who has been living in the United States for 32 years. I left Ecuador in search of a better life, crossing the border with only a dream of providing for my family back home. It was the hardest decision of my life to leave my two young daughters, just 3 and 5 years old, and my elderly parents behind. But I knew that by sacrificing my time and comfort, I could give them a chance at a better future.

Sadly, during my time here, my father passed away, and I never had the chance to say goodbye or be by his side. I also missed the precious years of my daughters growing up. The pain of being apart from my family has been overwhelming, but the hardest part is not being able to see my mother, who is now 100 years old and in very poor health.

My mother suffers from severe asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, dementia, and has limited vision and hearing. Her greatest wish is to see me again before it’s too late. For many years, my immigration status kept me from visiting her, but I recently received my Green Card, which now allows me to travel back to Ecuador.

However, even with this new opportunity, I do not have the financial resources to make this long-awaited trip. It is difficult for me to ask for help, but today, I am reaching out because I need assistance to reunite with my mother and daughter. Your generous donations will help me cover the cost of travel, medical expenses for my mother's care, and necessary treatments. I want to be there for her, to see her, and make sure she receives the care she deserves in her final years. Most of all, I want to finally meet my youngest daughter, whom I have missed all these years. She is now 35, and we’ve lost so much precious time together, which breaks my heart.

I have always worked hard and paid my taxes, but my current financial situation does not allow me to cover the costs of travel and medical expenses. That is why I am turning to you for help.
