Help Monkey World Care for Kalu

Donation protected
At Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre, Dr Alison Cronin and her team rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected primates from around the world.

Meet Kalu, a "pet" from South Africa, who hadn't lived with others of her own kind since being stolen from the wild as an infant.

At Monkey World, she was given treatment to help her life-threatening diabetes and a family of her own kind- for the first time. After living for over 30 years on her own, she is finally in the company of other chimps again.

Chimpanzees are long-lived animals and Monkey World commit to caring for Kalu, and the 54 other chimpanzees at the centre, for the rest of their lives, which could be up to another 20 years for Kalu.

Monkey World is home to over 260 endangered and rescued monkeys and apes and rescues many more each year from the illegal trade in wildlife.  It relies on the entrance fee of visitors, and kind donations to continues its work- with no outside funding at all.

Please help Monkey World continue to care for Kalu, and others like her by donating to the Ape Rescue Trust- a 100% trust used solely for the rescue and care of the monkeys and apes at Monkey World, with NO administrative costs removed.
