My name is Monique, and this is my first year teaching kindergarten at a new school in a low-income district. As I prepare to welcome my students on their very first day, I want to create a classroom that feels safe, colorful, and inviting—a place where every child feels valued, no matter their background. Many of my students come from families facing financial challenges, and I want to ensure that every child has what they need to start the year with confidence and excitement.

These items will help transform my classroom into a space where students can learn, play, and grow together. By providing these resources, I can also help ease the burden on parents, knowing their children will have everything they need each day.

 My teaching philosophy is built on relationships first. I believe that when students feel safe and supported, they can achieve anything. My goal is to foster growth and stability, and to show my students that no matter their color, shape, or size, they are welcome and capable of reaching their dreams.
