Help My Mom Save Her Dream Farm Home

This is something I heavily debated on doing because myself and my family don’t really like asking for help as It can be severely nerve wracking but even if you can just read to understand I would appreciate it.

I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible mom, who has finally made a lifelong dream come true — moving to the peaceful farm she’s always wanted. After raising her children in the same house for decades, she took a huge leap of faith, sold the home we all grew up in, and found the perfect little farm to live out her next chapter. It’s a place filled with healing, and new beginnings.

But shortly after moving in, what was discovered was devastating. The well on her new property- the only source of water for the home — is completely unusable. The previous owner lied about its condition, and now she’s left without running water. That means no showers, no drinking water, no way to cook or clean… Even something as basic as flushing the toilet causes issues, making everyday life difficult.

What’s especially disheartening is that having her family close has always been one of the most important things to my mom. She dreamed of creating a space where her kids and grandkids could visit, gather, and enjoy the quiet beauty of farm life with her. But right now, she can’t even comfortably have anyone over due to this water situation.

To make things even more challenging, my mom is living with congestive heart failure. She needs access to clean, running water not just for comfort, but for her survival.

Thankfully, she was able to secure a grant to help cover part of the cost of a new well — but there’s still a $10,000 gap she simply cannot afford on her own. She used everything she had to make her dream move possible.

We are humbly asking for help to raise the remaining $10,000 needed to install a safe, working well and allow her to stay in the home she worked so hard for.

If we are blessed enough to raise more than our goal, any additional funds will go toward purchasing a registered AED (automated external defibrillator) for her home a critical piece of life-saving equipment for someone with her condition..
