<div>Yuli and Eldin have been living in the United States for nearly a decade, here to give their children a better life. Dedicated parents and community members, with children in our neighborhood schools, their lives were disrupted in late August when Eldin was unexpectedly detained by ICE. Whisked from his family without a chance to say goodbye, Eldin’s wife, a 4 year old son and 11 year old daughter are distraught.

<div>His young son, who is a US citizen, attends a specialized MCPS program for children with autism, and needs the support of his father. His wife has devoted her time to raising the children, and needs her husband to provide for the family and parent with her. The family still mourns the loss of their third child, years ago, and cannot bear to lose their father as well.

<div>Yuli y Eldin llevan casi una década viviendo en Estados Unidos, con el objetivo de brindarles a sus hijos una vida mejor. Padres comprometidos y miembros activos de la comunidad, con hijos que asisten a las escuelas de nuestro barrio, vieron sus vidas trastocadas a finales de agosto cuando Eldin fue detenido inesperadamente por ICE. Separado de su familia sin posibilidad de despedirse, la esposa de Eldin, su hijo de 4 años y su hija de 11 están destrozados.

<div>Su hijo pequeño, ciudadano estadounidense, asiste a un programa especializado de MCPS para niños con autismo y necesita el apoyo de su padre. Su esposa ha dedicado su tiempo a criar a los niños y necesita que su esposo mantenga a la familia y la apoye en la crianza. La familia aún llora la pérdida de su tercer hijo, ocurrida hace años, y no pueden soportar perder también a su padre.
