Help Missy survive with ICU care

Our Totilas filly is a hearty and incredible example of the KWPN breed standard. Last week Missy developed an infection in her umbilicus (belly button) that would require a routine procedure costing $3000 which we paid in full. It was then, at CSU, when events took a turn for the worst and Missy developed a secondary infection in her body cavity that affected her small intestine. The day we would pick her up to go home we were forced to make a life saving choice to place her back in surgery for the second time in three days for what would give her a chance at life again.

Missy's surgery was successful but we are NOT out of the woods! Our 5-week-old filly will remain in the ICU colic ward of CSU for another 7-10 days, bringing her unanticipated medical costs to 10,000. This is a crushing blow to our family who works hard for what we have.

Missy is incredibly special, bred and carried through a recipient mare against all odds, who has given new life and purpose to the programs we house at our farm. The likihood of ever producing a filly of this breeding and quality again are close to zero. We cannot let her down now in the hours she needs us the most.
