My name is Missy. I am an 11-month-old female Pit Bull/Australian Cattle Dog. I was brought into the Corona Animal Shelter on January 4th with signs of knee pain. If I could talk, I'd tell you that I'm just a puppy and puppies are active. I'm not sure what I did to hurt myself, but I'm hurt badly enough to need surgery. The dog doctor said I most likely ruptured a cruciate ligament in both of my hind knees. My right knee is worse than my left knee, so I have probably been overcompensating and hurt both knees. The shelter has provided me with a pain patch that needs to be changed every 3 days. It is expensive, but it makes me feel better. The shelter is not a place for an injured, sweet, sociable, quiet yet playful puppy like me. I need surgery immediately so I can leave the shelter and be loved and cuddled.
