<div>Fostering a Sense of Community Through a Furry Friend
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello! My name is Miss Amber, and I’m a Pre-K teacher at an outdoor school in Michigan. Our program is all about learning through nature, exploration, and hands-on experiences. To build on that spirit of curiosity, I’m hoping to introduce a new member to our classroom community — a guinea pig!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After lots of research, I found that guinea pigs are the perfect fit for our class. They’re gentle, social, and full of personality — just like my little learners! Bringing a class pet into our room will help us practice responsibility, empathy, and teamwork in a fun and meaningful way.

</div>
<div>Our guinea pig will live both at school and at my home during weekends and breaks. Funds raised will go toward creating a comfortable habitat, nutritious food, enrichment toys (like a cozy hammock!), and proper veterinary care.
</div>

</div>
<div>To “earn” their new friend, my students are already working hard on caring for their classroom, listening to each other’s needs (sometimes that means quieter voices!), and creating a welcoming space.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This project isn’t just about having a pet — it’s about fostering kindness, cooperation, and a sense of community that will stay with them for years to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’d like to support our classroom’s new adventure, we’d be so grateful for donations or even just sharing this fundraiser with others. I’ll also be starting a private Facebook group to share updates and cute guinea pig moments with supporters!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for helping our class learn, grow, and welcome our newest little explorer!
</div>
<div>(Oh, and wish me luck breaking the news to my cat.)
