On April 17 my friend Misael Linares was on his way home from Chelsea, when he was brutally shot in his neck, left bleeding out until medical assistance arrived, and took him to the hospital where by a miracle he survived. He’s had to undergo multiple surgeries to be able to speak, and regain any movement in his legs and arms due to the trauma to his spinal cord. Unfortunately, there is still very little movement in his body. However, we are grateful he is even able to speak again. He currently is going through physical therapy to recover. There is a long road ahead before he will completely recover, if even possible. Misael was previously working as a food/runner and busser in the Boston area, which is his only source of income. After this incident, he has been out of work, with bills piling up. Not knowing when he will be back to his life and able to work. Anything donated will be greatly appreciated to help him get back to his feet. Please, help us share. 
El 17 de abril, mi amigo Misael Linares regresaba a casa desde Chelsea cuando recibió un disparo brutal en el cuello. Lo dejaron desangrándose hasta que llegó la asistencia médica y lo llevaron al hospital, donde sobrevivió de milagro. Tuvo que someterse a múltiples cirugías para poder hablar y recuperar la movilidad en piernas y brazos debido al traumatismo en la médula espinal. Desafortunadamente, aún tiene muy poca movilidad. Sin embargo, agradecemos que haya recuperado el habla. Actualmente está en fisioterapia para recuperarse. Le queda un largo camino por recorrer antes de que se recupere por completo, si es que es posible. Misael trabajaba anteriormente como repartidor de comida y ayudante de camarero en el área de Boston, su única fuente de ingresos.
