<div>Our beloved friends Mimi and Greg Rogers lost everything in the Eaton fire on January 7th. They, thankfully, were able to evacuate safely with their wonderful caregiver, Gina, and their cat, Little Edie, but their house is entirely gone along with everything in it. Their daughter Elana Esquivel and her husband Jacob Esquivel are doing everything they can to ease the transition, but the coming months and years are, no doubt, going to be incredibly difficult for their whole family.

<div>To make matters worse Greg has end-stage ALS and is nonverbal, quadriplegic. The day of the evacuation Greg had a medical scare related to not having access to a trachea clearing device and is now in the hospital, but is expected to be discharged in the coming days. I cannot imagine enduring such a loss but to have to navigate this with such a disease is very overwhelming.
