Help Milo Fund Their Top Surgery!
Hi pals! My name is Milo (he/they) and I'm raising funds to finally get gender affirming surgery! I'm a 19 year old, transgender art student who comes from a very unaccepting home in an even more unaccepting area. I've struggled with gender dysphoria, mental illness, and instability in every aspect of my life until just last year and have been waiting to come out since middle school.
This past pride month, I was finally able to come out to a group of close friends and found family, definitely the best moment of my life! I'm now living as my true self and ready to get the ball rolling on my journey to becoming the real me.
My life has been a series of hurtles and now that I'm finally in a safe, accepting place, the only hurtle I have left is money! Due to beginning college last fall, I don't have any extra funds to set aside for the top surgery I so desperately want and need an extra push to hit my goal. So, I'm asking for your help!
The Surgery:
Top surgery is a surgical procedure to remove breast tissue to give the appearance of a flat, more "masculine" chest. I'm hoping to start hormone therapy (testosterone) this year and in the meantime, I'm trying to raise funds for my surgery. Donations will go directly toward consultation fees, the surgery costs, travel costs and recovery. Fingers crossed that as soon as my goal is met, I'll immediately start the process of getting my surgery done!
Due to college and a cross country move after I graduate to be closer to my support system, my surgery may be delayed, but any funds from this gofundme will go directly to the surgery when I finally have time and money to take the leap! There is no urgency to donate if you can't at this very moment, I love you regardless!
