Help Mike's Family

Donation protected
On Monday August 6th 2018, my brother Michael, had a heart attack.  By the time the paramedics arrived, he had lost too much oxygen to his brain that although they restarted his heart, he had very minimal brain activity.  Once we realized there was no chance in his brain activity improving, we made arrangements to donate his organs (he wished to donate his organs as he enjoyed helping others).  He officially passed on Friday at 1:03 am.  His family was with him as he made the spiritual journey and was reunited with our father.

For those that have lost touch with Michael, he received a Master's degree in Mathematics and was planning on going back to school this fall for additional computer science certifications.  He taught mathematics as an adjunct professor and did a lot of side jobs (mostly handyman/construction work) to help support his family.  He is survived by a 9 year old daughter, Allie, a 3 year old son, Luke, a 16 year old step-daughter, Amber, and his wife Erin.

Michael undeniably had heart and wished to connect with people.  If you would consider buying Michael a drink if you saw him out, please consider a $10 donation to help his family ease the transition to a single family income.   If 1 of every 5 people Mike was friends with on Facebook donated $10 ,it would make a huge impact on helping his family not worry about how they will make ends meet these next few months.  Certainly, if you want to give more, it is appreciated, but we are hoping a lot of people give a little.

Good friends of Mike have reached out to me with thoughts of how to help.  This happened as we were considering services and how to honor Michael's life.  Since he would be 40 next month, we decided to postpone a memorial and celebration of life until his birthday weekend.  We will be sharing details regarding the date and time in the next week as we secure specifics.

We are all so thankful for those of you who have reached out to share kind words and condolences.  We know Michael is at peace and as difficult as this time is, it is comforting to hear from you all.
