My name is Amber Ward. I am Mike and Judy Ward's daughter.
I am starting this go fund me to help raise support and money for my father's cancer treatment and medical bills.
My father was diagnosed with Stage lll Non-small cell Lung Cancer in August of 2017. Which has traveled to his lymph nodes and moved the cancer to Stage lV, after the first round of chemotherapy and radiation.
My dad is a hard working, strong, caring man.
A Crane Operator for many years and a retired Business Representative for Operating Engineers.
He has always provided for our family, friends and always quick to lend a helping hand to those who need one.
Since my dads diagnosis life has been hard for him, my mother and our family as a whole. My father had to retire early to start chemotherapy and radiation.
My mother is and always has been the primary caregiver in the family, and has taken on the role of caring full time for my father. They have been married for 35 years, 36 this year on the 23rd of September.
My dad has went through two full rounds of chemo and one round of radiation with a very strong and determined will to beat this. He is now continuing chemotherapy treatments.
He has also suffered from a large PE (blood clot in his lung) causing shortness of breath which requires him to be on oxygen. The blood clot also included a long hospital stay where he was only able to lay on his back for a week which has added to his pain and discomfort.
This fund will help with household bills, medical expenses, and future expenses that will occur.
