Help Mike Turn Tragedy To Triumph

Donation protected
If you know anything about my brother Mike, you'll agree with me that he is an extremely dedicated, positive, and inspiring person who is committed to bringing out the best in others and leading by example.

Recently Mike was displaced from his home in Pittsburgh, Pa due to an arson related fire caused by his next door neighbor in the Bloomfield "Little Italy" community. Over the years, Mike has sacrificed so much for so many people. Let's take a moment to lend him a helping hand.

If we work together and share our network/resources, we can all change his life, and give him a fresh start by turning tragedy into triumph for him in a way that he'll never forget.

A Little About Me...

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sarah Hiehle (that's my married name, it's originally Mahon), and I'm Mike's little sister.

Throughout the years, I've watched my brother Mike triumphantly overcome challenge after challenge ranging from childhood obesity, traumatic car accidents,  and sports injuries/etc, but I've never seen him face a challenge like this before.

I Couldn't Believe What I Saw On The News...

As you may know or not know, my brother hasn't always lived in Pittsburgh Pa.

Due to the fact he's 1000's of miles away from immediate friends and family where we all live in So Cal, it was very scary to see him featured  as a top story on WPXI-TV Pittsburgh news where the news reporter Mike Holden was breaking the news to him that he just lost his home.

It turns out that his next door neighbor on the third floor of his apartment building got into an argument with his girlfriend that day and intentionally decided to set the apartment on fire. This caused Mike and many others to be displaced, and the apartment building to be condemned because it simply was no longer liveable anymore.

Mike's Very Grateful To Be Alive

Due to the fact that Mike literally lived right next door to the man that set the apartment on fire, my big brother Michael is lucky to be alive.

After talking to Mike, I discovered that around 3pm on the day of the fire he had 3 choices to make that day...

A) Take a power nap to re-charge. (If you know Mike like I do, then you'll also know that he works a ton...sometimes even all hours of the day and night to make ends meet, engages in various projects, is a "kitchen table entrepreneur", a coach/mentor/advisor, helps others, and lives a disciplined/sacrificial life to make his huge vision a reality through action. )

B) Work on the computer in his makeshift home office. (That day Michael had some time-sensitive follow-ups and research for a project he was working on to accomplish that day).

C) Leave The Apartment To Exercise

Thank God For Divine Intervention

Thankfully for everyone reading this page right now, I'm happy to say that Mike made the decision to choose:

"C) Leave The Apartment To Exercise."

If Mike had not made the decision to grab his house keys, or put on his sneakers, pants, jacket, and lucky workout beanie to stay warm while doing cardio on his local track that day, I may not have the courage or strength to even be writing you now.

Thankfully for all of us, Mike is alive and neither the fire, nor the shotgun that the police found with the man who set the apartment ablaze got to Mike first.

Thank God for that !

Let's Kick-Start Mike's New Life

I want you to know that Mike is a pretty independent person, and never wants anyone to see him or his situation as a victim.

I've seen with my own two eyes that God has helped him overcome trials and tribulations in the past, and Mike fully believes that this situation will be no exception.

That's why I started this campaign, Mike needs a new life and every donation "LARGE" or "small" (even a $1) will contribute to helping him recover financially so that he can start over, continue to build his dream, have a successful life and make an impact with the time and tools he has at his disposal.
