Help Mike... Motorcycle Accident

On December 17th, at around 4:15pm, Mike was heading home, when he had a horrific crash on his motorcycle. Mike had suffered quite a bit of injuries. He has a broken pelvis, two broken arms/hands, broken L5, and a pulverized heel. He had some issues with his lungs, and a perferated bladder. he's already had the surgeries on his arms/hands, and his pelvis. Doctors cannot operate on his heel yet, as there is not much left, so they're waiting for the swelling to go down in order to figure out the extent of the damage. The damage to his pelvis was so bad, that doctor said they were basically putting pieces back together. He has an emense amount of incisions, and metal implants holding him together his first two surgeries.
Understandably, besides his physical injuries, the trauma Mike is dealing with has been overwhelming to say the least. He was riding along side a friend on his own motorcycle when an SUV made an left turn, across traffic, in the attempt to cross in a rush, and not noticing, or rather disregarding the uncoming moving vehicles. Subsequently both Mike and his friend had no warning or even a couple of seconds to slow down and avoid the SUV. His friend hit the passenger rear wheel, as a result forcing the SUV to turn, at which time Mike hit the SUV head on, and was thrown over.
Mike is supposed to be non weight bearing for at least ten weeks. That means he has to remain in a bed, and not put pressure on any part of his body. He cannot use his hands, so he can't eat, nor perform the simplest of functions.
After surgeries, he will have to learn how to use his hands again, how to walk again, how to sit, how to live all over again. All the things we take for granted each day, he will now have to learn how to do all over again.
Mike will need a lot of medical attention, medical equipment, and will need an extensive stay in Physical Rehabilation Facility.
Unfortunately, Mike does not have any insurance. You can only imagine what will be his hospital bill. In addition, because of the lack of the insurance, no Rehabilitation facility is able to take him. All but one, which will require an extensive donation, and he will need to have his own equipment.
Mikes has no financial resources and for now, all expenses are being paid by his mother and additional family members. We have already been applying for governament assistance that he is possibly eligable for. The Doctors, hospital staff and his assigned social worker have said he will be financially liable for all medical expenses, including the necessary rehabilitation therapy.
My 70 year old Mother is not physically capable to attend to his daily care, which he will need for even the most basic daily functions. Especially with him in a non weight bearing state and no way for Mike to be able to do anything for himself for quite a while. Among everything else, he needs to be fed, washed and tended with full care 24/7 as he can't use the bathroom or do just about anything on his own. Mike absolutely must go to a physical rehabilitation facility so he can be provided with proper care for a very long time.
So many of you have reached out asking how you can help my brother with your time, money or any other way possible. That is why this page has been organized by his family to help alleviate the biggest obstacle we need to overcome for Mike to get better.
