Help Mike Fraser fight cancer

Donation protected
As many of you may or may not know Mike was diagnosed with a tumor on his kidney in 2019.  The tumor along with the kidney was removed in November 2019.  Due to the size of the tumor a biopsy was completed.  It came back positive for cancer.  The Dr informed Mike that he was certain he removed the entire tumor and no further treatment was needed at this time.  Mike was to follow up 6 months later.   At his 6 month recheck he was given a clean bill of health.  Not more than a month later Mike started exhibiting odd symptoms such as abdominal pain and headaches.  September 11, 2020  He followed up with his Dr to make an appointment.  They ordered blood work, X-rays and CT scans.  These scans verified that Mike had a tumor present on the remaining kidney as well as his brain.  Mike was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma.  The brain tumor was also Renal Cell Carcinoma.   Now some of you may wonder how can someone get Renal Cell Carcinoma in the brain or other parts of the body?  It's a great question!  Mike specifically has Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma which means that it typically starts as a tumor in the kidneys.  And like other cancers, it can spread to other parts of the body.  Some times it can be cured, most often though, the course of treatment is more about slowing down the disease and managing symptoms.  With all of that being said Mike was thrown into a whirl wind of tests, consultations and immediate surgery.  Mike's brain tumor was the first plan of attack.  The tumor was removed as best as they could due to the concern of him losing sight in his one eye.  The tumor removal has altered his vision in his one  eye but his headaches are gone.  After a short healing period and to make sure that a brain bleed didn't occur Mike was fitted for a radiation mask so that he could have treatment on what was left of the remaining tumor.  As for the Kidney, he is receiving various IV treatments and will soon start a new oral medicine to help attack the tumor on the kidney.  These treatments make Mike sick.  He has had to delay treatments due to his blood test results and feeling unwell.  He has had a few hydration treatments and blood transfusions.  Mike has been unable to work since July as he was furloughed due to the Covid19 pandemic.  In September Mike was told by his Dr. due to his conditions, treatments and medications he can no longer work.  Mike is the sole provider for his home.  He has a lovely wife and 2 wonderful children to provide for.  I've known Mike for half of my life and he has never asked anyone for anything and now he needs us!  Mike needs help to be able to keep his home, put food on the table and to help cover medical costs.  I'm creating this in the hopes that we can all chip in, be it $1, $5 or $10 every dollar helps and will be used to help pay his monthly bills and any medical bills that start rolling in. I know that Mike and his family will be forever appreciative to everyone for their generosity.
