<div>Wat is er gebeurd? Een aantal maanden geleden kreeg M. een nieuw kunstgebit, maar merkte meteen al dat die niet lekker zat. de tandprotheticus zei dat ze gewoon moest wennen. Ze bleef pijn houden en heeft uiteindelijk andere tandprothetici bezocht. Eentje vertelde haar dat haar overbeet (scheefstaande voortanden) niet waren meegenomen in haar gebit. hierdoor heeft haar gebit te weinig ruimte bij de voortanden en is dus enorm pijnlijk. Ze heeft moeite met eten en voelt zich al maanden belabberd. Ik ken meer mensen die tandpijn hebben en dat is echt een hele nare pijn die je hele welzijn beinvloedt.

<div>Daarna begon de strijd voor de kosten van een nieuw kunstgebit: M. kan die niet zelf betalen want zij en haar man zitten allebei in de ziektewet. De protethicus die een fout had gemaakt, wil niet zijn fout erkennen en een nieuw kunstgebit maken. Ze heeft hulp gevraagd bij de zorgverzekeraar VGZ, die vergoedt alleen eens per 5 jaar. Ze heeft het noodfonds van de gemeente aangesproken, maar die willen ook niet vergoeden. Ook het noodfonds SUN Nederland heeft haar aanvraag afgewezen.

<div>Ik vertel niet de volledige naam van M en deel hier ook geen foto van haar, omdat zij zich heel erg schaamt dat geen goed kunstgebit heeft en dat zij geen geld heeft voor een nieuwe.
