Ik ben Lili Quigua Rojas Huber. Een maand geleden is bij mijn vader kanker geconstateerd. Deze kan niet meer behandeld worden. Hij heeft een maagtumor, verspreid over een groot van de maag met uitzaaiingen naar onder meer darmen, lever en mild. Tot aan zijn overlijden is er alleen nog palliatieve zorg mogelijk.
Mijn vader woont in Zuid Colombia in het stadje Florencia. Hier zijn weinig medische voorzieningen. Ikzelf woon in Nderland maar verblijf momenteel bij mijn vader in Colombia en ik wil daar ook graag zijn tot aan zijn overlijden. Hoe lang of dat nog gaat duren konden de artsen niet zeggen. Dat kan weken zijn maar ook maanden.
Papa is heel belangrijk voor mij. Ik was al bij hem in Colombia toen hij twee weken geleden moest worden vervoerd naar de stad Neiva waar een goed ziekenhuis is en waar ook de ernst van zijn situatie werd vastgesteld. Hij wil nu graag in Florencia overlijden waar ook zijn dierbaren wonen.
Onze familie in Colombia is erg arm. Ikzelf ben in Nederland ook arm. Al mijn geld – en meer – is opgegaan aan de kosten die ik tot nu toe voor mijn vader heb gemaakt.
Terwijl nog veel uitgaven zullen volgen: papa moet weer worden vervoerd van Neiva terug naar Florencia. Hij heeft medicijnen nodig voor de pijnbestrijding en ook dieetvoeding omdat zijn maag nauwelijks nog functioneert, deze zaken zijn in Florencia slecht te krijgen en moeten dus van elders komen. Hij heeft ook een aangepast bed nodig en verpleegkundige zorg aan huis. Daarnaast is me dringend fysiotherapie geadviseerd om hem nog zo lang mogelijk in conditie te houden.
Er is geen ziektekostenverzekering die deze uitgaven dekt. Zoiets is alleen weggelegd voor de rijkere Colombianen.
Daarom zoek ik uw hulp. Alstublieft, help ons om papa nog een menswaardige laatste levensfase te geven. Ik zal u zo dankbaar zijn!

Mi padre vive en el sur de Colombia en la ciudad de Florencia. Hay pocas instalaciones médicas aquí. Yo mismo vivo en Nderland, pero actualmente vivo con mi padre en Colombia y me gustaría estar allí hasta su muerte. Los médicos no pudieron decir cuánto tiempo o eso duraría. Eso puede ser semanas pero también meses.
Papá es muy importante para mí. Ya estaba con él en Colombia cuando tuvo que ser transportado hace dos semanas a la ciudad de Neiva, donde hay un buen hospital y donde también se determinó la gravedad de su situación. Ahora quiere morir en Florencia, donde también viven sus seres queridos.
Nuestra familia en Colombia es muy pobre. También soy pobre en los Países Bajos. Todo mi dinero, y más, lo he gastado en los costos en los que he incurrido para mi padre hasta ahora.
Si bien seguirán muchos gastos: papá tiene que ser transportado nuevamente desde Neiva de regreso a Florencia. Necesita medicamentos para aliviar el dolor y también alimentos dietéticos porque su estómago apenas funciona, estas cosas son difíciles de conseguir en Florencia y, por lo tanto, deben provenir de otros lugares. También necesita una cama adaptada y cuidados de enfermería en el hogar. Además, me aconsejaron urgentemente que lo mantuviera en condiciones el mayor tiempo posible.
No existe una póliza de seguro de salud que cubra estos gastos. Algo así solo está reservado para los colombianos más ricos.
Por eso busco tu ayuda. Por favor ayúdanos a darle a papá una última fase decente de la vida. ¡Te estaré muy agradecido!

He also needs an adapted bed and nursing care at home. In addition, I was urgently advised to keep him in condition for as long as possible.
There is no health insurance policy that covers these expenses. Something like that is only reserved for the richer Colombians.
