<div>Met pijn in ons hart willen wij, mijn gezin, jullie laten weten dat mijn vader, schoonvader en opa Nico, momenteel in het buitenland op sterven ligt. Hij is per ambulance via een stichting naar het buitenland gebracht om afscheid te nemen van dierbare mensen in zijn vertrouwde omgeving. Dit was zijn laatste wens. Helaas is zijn gezondheid zo snel achteruitgegaan dat het medisch niet meer mogelijk is om hem terug naar Nederland te brengen.

<div>Mijn vader is alles wat ik nog heb, en ik wil hem niets liever geven dan een waardig en respectvol afscheid zoals hij dat verdient. Helaas had mijn vader door omstandigheden geen uitvaartverzekering, waardoor de kosten van een crematie en uitvaart nu bij ons liggen. We hebben niet de financiële middelen om dit alleen te kunnen dragen.

<div>Mijn vader heeft zijn hele leven met liefde gewerkt als taxichauffeur en touringcarchauffeur. Met veel plezier heeft hij talloze mensen veilig en met een glimlach naar hun bestemming gebracht, in Nederland en ver daarbuiten. Het zou voor ons niets mooier zijn dan dat ik, zijn dochter, hem nu – met liefde, maar ook met veel verdriet – naar zijn laatste bestemming mag brengen.

<div>We beseffen dat het voor velen financieel moeilijk is op dit moment, maar elke donatie, groot of klein, brengt ons een stap dichterbij ons doel om mijn vader het afscheid te geven dat hij verdient. <div>With heavy hearts, my family and I would like to let you know that my father, father-in-law, and grandfather, Nico, is currently dying abroad. He was transported by ambulance through a foundation to another country, so he could say goodbye to his loved ones in the familiar surroundings he cherished. This was his final wish. Sadly, his health has deteriorated so rapidly that it is no longer medically possible to bring him back to the Netherlands.

<div>My father is everything I have left, and more than anything, I want to give him the dignified and respectful farewell he truly deserves. Unfortunately, he did not have funeral insurance, which means the costs of his cremation and funeral now fall entirely on us. We simply do not have the financial means to carry this burden alone.

<div>My father worked his entire life with love and dedication as a taxi driver and coach driver. He took great joy in safely and warmly bringing countless people to their destinations, both in the Netherlands and far beyond. For me, as his daughter, there would be no greater honor than to now accompany him – with love, though also with deep sorrow – on his final journey.
